Ok, so you know how Stage 5 bosses in Touhou games later become playable characters in the main games & spinoffs?

    - Sakuya from EoSD (Becomes playable in PCB, IaMP, IN, PoFV, SWR, Hisoutensoku?, and DDC)

    - Youmu from PCB (Becomes playable in IaMP, IN, PoFV, SWR, Hisoutensoku?, and TD)

-Reisen from IN (Playable in PoFV, SWR, Hisoutensoku?, and LoLK)

-Komachi from PoFV may count, as she became playable in SWR and partially Hisoutensoku

-Sanae from MoF, more recently (Playable in UFO, Hisoutensoku, TD, and LoLK)

The only exception in Rin and Shou from SA and UFO, and Mononobe no Futo from TD becomes playable only in HM and ULiL.

-Seija from DDC even got an entire game based on her, Impossible Spell Card.

So, if ZUN continues this tradition of making Stage 5 bosses playable characters in the next games, then that must mean…

    Clownpiece…

    playable in the next 2hu…

    Nope.

    They look so betrayed.

Because it is a betrayal. Dark chocolate is full of lies. Dark, bitter, lies.

Man I feel really bad for the Tumblr Staff because I bet they aimed for Tumblr to be a cool, suavé, photographic place for artists but in reality it’s made up of hormonal teenagers who obsess over gay fictional characters, and can’t even handle the reblog button turning green to teal

  • Honest Question That I Wanted To Ask For A While But Never Asked Because I'm Supposed To Know It Already: Are "crazy" and "derp" considered ableist language or slurs?
    oddeyesight

    roachpatrol:

    earlgraytay:

    roachpatrol:

‘Crazy’ and ‘derp’ are considered ableist language and slurs, but they’re considered that by the kind of social justice berserker that thinks that sounding good is the same thing as doing good. Like, vastderp is constantly being chided for using the terrible-no-good-awful-slur-against-autistics-word ‘derp’ to… describe himself, an austistic guy.

The berserkers who say ‘crazy’ is a slur are also likely to explode over the horribly ablest uses of ‘lame’, ‘stupid’, ‘lazy’, ‘moron’, ‘weirdo’, ‘potato’, or the wrong configuration of ‘transgender/ed’.  To me it seems like a certain amount of swears, slurs, and insults are necessary for clear discourse, because it actually inhibits communication to have a bunch of assholes charging around playing word police.

I’d rather sit down at a table with someone who called me a crazy queer bitch than someone who yelled at me for calling myself that. The former’s actually got a semi-functional grasp on reality.

The Social Justice Berserkers remind me of the Nice Ladies in the special ed wing. The Nice Ladies were horrified that an autistic girl-shaped kid flung minced oaths around like a very naive sailor, and kept trying to get me to clean up my language. I wasn’t allowed to say “darn”, “drat”, ”dang”, “screw it”, “freaking”, “gosh”, “heck”, “stupid”, “idiot”, “moron”, “crazy”, “d’arvit” (because I used it as a substitute for “darn it”), or anything like it.

Eventually, I figured out that it wasn’t actually the words that were the problem. It was the sentiment behind them. The Nice Ladies didn’t want me to be angry - about anything, ever. It screwed with their perceptions of reality to see an autistic kid being angry (because disabled girls are supposed to be ~innocent little angels~), and on top of that, the only real power I had over the situation was my anger. I couldn’t stop them when they said “you can’t listen to music [even though you need it for your brain to work]” or “instead of gym class we’re going to make you pedal an exercise bike for an hour and you’re not allowed to take breaks”. But I could damn sure express my fucking displeasure with the situation. They wanted to take that away from me, too.

The church-cult I grew up in acted the same way- with one key difference. Mormons aren’t allowed to swear, and are discouraged from using minced oaths “because it’s basically the same thing”. But Mormons are also encouraged to be bigoted, and there’s certain phrases in the Mormon church that are, functionally, slurs. “People who struggle with same-sex attraction” or “homosexuals”, for instance. “Feminists”. “Intellectuals”. Calling a girl who’s homely a “sweet spirit”. You’re discouraged from calling someone in the church crazy, but calling all other varieties of Christians crazy was a-okay. The unwritten rules reinforced the real message: You can be mad, but only about the things we want you to be mad about, and only on our terms.

I kind of feel like SJ word policing is designed to serve a similar function. It keeps people upset about things that are ultimately superficial and serves as a Group Status Marker. “If you’re not upset by people using Ableist Language, you’re too complacent and not really into social justice. Remember, it’s okay to be angry, but only on our terms.”

oh dang, yeah. this seems pretty spot-on to me.

    Killbenedictcumberbatch is opening commissions!

I thought it’d be wise to make an official post about this with pictures but for the sake of my own financial (and lets be real, my physical health too) I’ve decided to take commissions for a little bit. I have expenses that need to be covered, including medical bills and medication. My job is barely cutting it, I only am able to 10 hours a week at minimum wage, do the math, I’m not making much money at all. If you would like a more detailed list of my commissions, then visit my page for them here. Because of my mental illness, I can only take on a few at a time without getting overwhelmed, and thankfully the medication I’m on has given me the energy to actually draw for the first time literally in months. I would appreciate any help that people can give, so please boost this post for me and help me out!

When my friend was a kid she used put on high heels and practice running around and jumping off stuff because Catwoman could do it. Now she can practically sprint in stilettos. Like…I’ve seen her chase after animals and run up hills and climb shit with 0% hindrance, and I will forever and always admire the hell out of her for it because when asked to choose between practicality and fashion she literally just chose “no be Catwoman” instead, and for some reason that actually worked.

This is why I was 100% not bothered by Bryce Dallas Howard’s high heels in Jurassic World. That character was a woman who could absolutely wear heels through hell and back without a scuff mark. These people exist, and they walk among us. You can spot them, because they’re slightly taller.

i’m too tired/busy right now to explain why i hate shit like this but i just want you all to know that i hate shit like this.

after you wear heels often enough your Achilles’ tendon atrophies and shortens to the point that it’s uncomfortable or even painful for you to *not* wear heels and that deformation is what makes it possible to run and jump in them so maybe let’s not celebrate that?

I’m all for appreciating women for wearing heels and not talking down about how vain they must be, but there’s sort of a difference between “is able to function pretty well with heels” and “heels can totally be practical footwear for this badass character because real life women can sort of do the same things after extensive practice.” Just because it can be done, doesn’t mean it should be done.

Should you really be praising high heels as seen/inspired by fictional characters when the expectation is that these fictional characters would be wearing them anyway?
